Ralf Hohmann Fotografie Available

Ralf Hohmann Fotografie operates from Jägerhof 7 in Alheim, capturing assignments across eastern Hessen, including Bad Hersfeld and Rotenburg an der Fulda. The studio handles a broad technical spectrum ranging from fast-action outdoor field assignments to controlled family, newborn, and individual portrait sessions. Hohmann’s portfolio reflects an unusual balance between commercial event coverage and specialized animal photography, supported by a deep understanding of natural lighting, animal demeanor, and environmental composition.

Animal and wildlife imaging represent core pillars of the practice. Drawing on firsthand experience with domestic animal behavior through on-site Maine Coon breeding and local wildlife tracking—including regional riverbank beaver excursions and kingfisher documentation—Hohmann employs patience and high-speed focal gear to record subjects without disruptive artificial intrusions. These same observational habits carry directly into private pet sessions, where pets require calm, paced pacing rather than rigid staging to achieve natural expressions and sharp detail.

On the human portraiture and commercial front, the assignment scope spans kindergarten and school documentation, youth sports, family milestones, and weddings. Event photography is managed through an unobtrusive reportage method, documenting key transitions, unprompted interactions, and ceremony milestones. Post-production focuses on clean color grading, tonal balance, and high-resolution output suitable for fine-art printing or digital distribution. Clients receive access to an authenticated, password-protected online portal where image selections can be reviewed, shared, and downloaded in original master resolution.

Project initiation requires upfront coordination regarding site logistics, expected lighting conditions, and specific shot lists. For weddings, school picture runs, and organized sports shoots, dates typically fill weeks or months in advance, particularly around late spring and early autumn. Clients booking outdoor or wildlife sessions should discuss seasonal weather windows and backup schedules, while domestic pet shoots benefit from staging pets in familiar environments shortly after their routine exercise periods.
