The workshop manages everything from basic alterations to complex reconstructions across men’s, women’s, and children’s apparel. Rather than limiting the bench to standard wardrobe adjustments, the studio handles utility projects, specialty uniforms, leather repairs, and formal wear with equal technical control. Every piece brought into the shop is measured to align with the wearer's natural posture and functional requirements.

Garment construction requires a systematic approach, especially when dealing with varied textiles like heavy military twill, supple leather, and delicate occasion fabrics. At Debbe’s Custom Sewing, projects begin with an in-person assessment where fabric drape, seam allowances, and original factory stitching methods are examined before any cutting begins. When adjusting jackets or trousers, original hems and stitch lines are often replicated to preserve the designer's intended proportions. Structural repairs such as zipper replacements involve removing compromised hardware, inspecting surrounding seam tape, and installing industrial-grade closures designed to withstand continuous strain.

Beyond civilian tailoring, the workshop handles specialized uniform regulations and heavy-duty materials. Military personnel and first responders bring service uniforms in for precise rank patch placement, nametag stitching, and regulation hem heights, where placement tolerances leave no room for error. The studio's machinery also accommodates dense leather jackets and outerwear, managing puncture resistance and seam reinforcement without damaging delicate skins. Custom adjustments encompass taking in side seams, letting out waists, resetting sleeves, and shortening complex hemlines across casual and formal wardrobes alike.

The shop operates Tuesday through Friday from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm, keeping doors closed Saturday through Monday to manage workflow. Standard projects typically require a one- to two-week turnaround window, though expedited rush processing can occasionally be arranged for time-sensitive events depending on current shop volume. For fittings involving formal attire, military dress, or tailored trousers, clients should arrive with the exact footwear, belts, and undergarments intended for wear with the garment, ensuring all pinning reflects accurate ground clearance and natural waist placement.
