Prior to establishing the Summerville shop, Turkan spent over two decades directing apparel production for commercial fashion labels including Polo, Lacoste, and Macy’s. That background informs the shop’s operational focus: complex garment restyling, multi-layer formalwear adjustments, and structural tailoring executed according to factory-level assembly standards rather than quick cosmetic stitching.

The workroom manages a broad mechanical scope across formal and daily wear. Structural suit alterations involve complex deconstructions, such as shortening sleeves through vented cuffs, re-pitching shoulders with custom padding, raising the back seam below the collar, and tapering trouser legs while preserving original factory hems. For high-wear and damaged garments, the shop performs technical French reweaving, piece reweaving, and reknitting to invisibly repair burns, snags, and moth tears in fine wools.
