Iowa Park Florist Available

Iowa Park Florist maintains a seven-decade tradition of botanical design in Wichita County, pairing formal floristry with an expansive inventory of fresh cut botanicals, potted green plants, and curated regional giftware. Owner Karen Skasick, certified in horticulture through Richland College in Dallas, spent fourteen years managing the enterprise before purchasing the family-owned operation with her husband, Tony, in 2006. Operating out of an expanded workshop on West Highway, the studio manages daily residential and commercial floral orders alongside specialized commissions for commemorative milestones, hospital convalescence, and community gatherings.

The workshop balances traditional floral styles with tailored, freeform work. Custom floral projects begin with a stem-by-stem assessment, selecting blooms such as long-stemmed roses, Asiatic lilies, stock, and seasonal tulips conditioned in climate-controlled coolers. For sympathy tributes and memorial arrangements—a longstanding specialty of the shop—designers construct pieces on durable mechanics such as floral foam blocks, reinforced wire easels, and targeted hydration reservoirs to ensure displays withstand prolonged viewing services. Families frequently incorporate keepsake components into these arrangements, integrating cast metal angels, standing ceramic crosses, or personalized keepsakes directly into mixed greenery.

Beyond cut flowers, the shop maintains living container plants, ranging from tabletop peace lilies to floor-standing foliage potted in balanced indoor soil media. The West Highway retail space also functions as a regional specialty gift hub, assembling custom fruit and gourmet snack hampers, personalized gift packages featuring Texas-poured Circle E candles, and repurposed home accents. Every outgoing order undergoes a quality check verifying stem integrity, hydration water levels, clean stem recuts, and vehicle stabilization before transport to destinations across Iowa Park and neighboring communities.

Clients ordering custom arrangements achieve the most consistent results by communicating desired color palettes, recipient preferences, and specific venue receipt times twenty-four to forty-eight hours ahead. For sympathy orders destined for local funeral homes, providing the service time and the decedent’s full name ensures direct coordination with directors prior to calling hours. Deliveries run Monday through Friday with abbreviated Saturday morning dispatch windows, requiring advance placement for weekend commitments.
